Saint-Cado is located on the Ria d’Etel, near Belz and this is one of the most famous sights from the Ria.

Un port pittoresque sur la Ria d’Etel
It is a really charming tiny harbour with its small embankment and its traditional boats surrounded by traditional houses. There is a coastal path which can take you to the mouth of the Ria d’Etel.
From there you can dive but you will have to be careful because of the strong current in the Ria d’Etel.

Beautiful phenomenon
Located at the mouth of the Ria, it is a natural phenomenon due to a large underwater sandbar. You will be able to see it on the Plouhinec or Erdeven localities.
This phenomenon varies according to the tides and winds. Sailing there can be very delicate and there have been several shipwrecks.

The starting point to a tour of the Gulf of Morbihan
You will be able to walk on the coastal path, enjoy the breathtaking view on the mouth of the Gulf of Morbihan with Port Navalo on the opposite side. You can also sample the delicious oysters.
On very low tides, you can even pick cockles and wild oysters.

Musée de la Compagnie des Indes
This museum is located in an old Vauban fortress in Port-Louis overlooking the Lorient port.
It tells you how famous Lorient became thanks to the spice trade during the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries but there is also a beautiful sea museum with many models.

Le zoo de Pont-Scorff
Pont-Scorff is a beautiful well-maintained zoo on 12 hectares close to Lorient. You can easily spend a few hours there observing the elephants, giraffes, tigers, lions and monkeys as well birds.

Auray / Saint-Goustan
Saint Goustan is Auray old harbor on the brinks of the Auray river or Loc’h, the oldest part of the town. It used to be a large trade and fishing harbor. This is where Benjamin Franklin landed as he came from America to ask for the French help.
